I'm with you here, except I'm not sure how it can be said that a business model wherein the music industry getting rich while the people who create the music get nothing is a *new* one... Seems like that's been the gold standard of the industry from day one. Just ask any impoverished old blues master.

The music industry is screwing the consumer as well. Alas, the consumer now knows how little it costs to make a CD. So they know that $15 for a CD is bullshit.
Well, if the music industry is currently screwing musicians so bad, one should consider that all the actual musicians (like Dr. Frank) find these plans EVEN WORSE. I'm not sure that an argument of "Well, the musicians are already getting screwed, so it won't matter if they get screwed even more" is persuasive.
