I remember reading the Knights of Bushido back in the 1960s and I recall reading that British POWs made small radios which were hidden in water bottles. Searches by the Japanese camp guards found some of these radios and the owners were executed. What did the Japanese soldiers do with the miniaturised radios? Did some Japanese companies base their transistors on these inventions in the 1950s?
